“Make a slight turn to the right” does not mean make a right turn. Check the route path and see if you actually need to turn right. I have received this instruction while driving at a clear straight road and on a road with an entrance ramp to a highway.

Confirm in advance before driving which side of the road the destination is located. There are many times when the voice instruction tells you that the destination is on one side when it is actually on the other side. Sometimes, the voice instruction will change the side when you get closer to the target location.
